Choose a frame for the riding you actually do

Start with your usual terrain and riding position. A fast gravel event, a long road-and-gravel loop and a loaded multi-day trip place different demands on a frameset. Make a shortlist by tire space and fit, then compare storage, component standards and the finished build cost. A lighter frame is useful only if the geometry and equipment suit the rider.

Fast mixed-surface rides and racing

Compare FM366 and FM376 for wide-tire racing builds. FM366 combines aero-shaped tubes with integrated downtube storage; FM376 provides an alternative all-terrain race platform. FM286 is the lighter option for climbing-focused builds. Compare stack and reach in your size rather than assuming that the same size label gives the same riding position on every model.

Bikepacking and rougher routes

FM356 is the wide-clearance bikepacking platform. FM326 offers a flip-chip fork, but its front and rear tire limits differ. A large front tire does not establish the rear-wheel clearance. Before planning bags or a rack, confirm the actual mounting points, permitted loads, heel clearance and bag space on the selected size. Integrated storage is for essentials and does not replace checking luggage compatibility.

Endurance riding and a versatile build

Compare FM316 for aero endurance use and FM336 when integrated downtube storage is a priority. FM346 offers a wide-tire race alternative. Choose on fit and route requirements instead of an unsupported claim that one model is universally fastest or most comfortable.
